Emily, an Information Technology analyst, faced an unexpected layoff. With support from the American Job Center in Wheeling, COMNet Group, and the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act, Emily successfully completed an IT Management program, becoming a Certified Scrum Master, and earning over $100k.

Kenneth has always loved driving, so the decision to pursue a Commercial Driver’s License was easy. Dutch Farms, a local Chicagoland poultry supplier, welcomed Kenneth a week after he finished his training and obtained his license. Kenneth’s achievements have made a generational impact – his own son now attends 160 Driving Academy and is working to obtain his CDL in hopes of developing a family business.

A customer came to the American Job Center in Maywood in need of employment. He found out about the programs available to help him upgrade his skills and further his education. Upon completion of an Informational Technology Management training, he entered a career and is now working as an Electronic Technician earning a competitive salary with benefits.

She passed the state exam, obtained her certification, and secured a managerial position at Rush University Medical Center, earning close to $100,000 a year.
